Multi-touch iPhone

Multi-touch iPhone Image
It seems like something has gone horribly wrong with iTunes Activation Servers. Scores of people have taken to Apple Discussion Forums and blogs telling about the ordeal that they are facing. It turns out that iTunes Activation Servers are down, and if you trying updating your iOS device to the latest firmware, iOS 4.3.3 at this point in time, your device will be bricked.

It is being said that iTunes updates the firmware on the iDevice as it would normally do, but after that is when the issue arises. iTunes seems to be unable to connect to the activation servers, which in turn leave the device bricked/useless. The following error message is displayed:

There is a problem with your device.

We're sorry, the device you connected may be damaged and cannot be activated for service. We recommend you visit your nearest Apple Store for more information. To find your nearest Apple Store, click here.

Also keep in mind that this problem isn't country or platform specific. This is happening all around the world with users who are using both Mac OS and Windows. The 12 page long, as yet, thread on Apple Support Communities is proof enough that this issue is spread all across the world and for all iDevices.

This is still developing and we'll bring more updates, as they come in. If we find a solution to this problem, you'll be the first to know right through Sizlopedia.

UPDATE: Here's how to fix your iOS 4.3.3 bricked iPhone, iPad and iPod touch.
