Apple Cut The Rope For iPad Musicpuzzle Games

Apple Cut The Rope For iPad Musicpuzzle Games Image
On the surface this is a seemingly simple game that is easy to dismiss. All you do is slice dangling ropes by tracing your fingertip across the screen. On the end of said rope is a sweet that you must guide into the mouth of a frog-like creature that's been abandoned on your virtual doorstep in a cardboard box.

After playing the first ten trial levels we were hooked. You see, it's not as simple as dropping the prize into the ever-hungry target, that's often the easy part. There are three stars to collect on each level, and you get them by moving the sweet around by trapping it in bubbles, linking it to other ropes, moving the ropes on sliders and so on. You really have to think before each move. Each level is represented by a different kind of box- cardboard, fabric, foil - and the battle to amass a total of 190 stars to open the elusive final 'Gift box' was one that swallowed a whole Saturday.

We've tried Cut The Rope on the IPad and iPhone. Those blessed with little fingers will cope with the small screen of the iPhone, for those with larger digits, Apple's bigger brother will be better.

Gloriously addictive, we can see why this app has held the number one slot in the App Store. We can't wait for the release of the new levels, which keep coming out regularly.
