Is White Iphone 4 Canceled

Is White Iphone 4 Canceled Cover Today we reported that Apple has announced that the White iPhone 4 is delayed until spring next year. But now rumors are there that Apple has cancelled the release of White iPhone 4 and yet has revealed the information. The report has come from internal sources from BGR that Apple has no plans to release the White iPhone 4. They exactly state that: According to a previous source of ours, we have been told that Apple in fact has no plans to release the white model iPhone 4. Our source hypothesizes another “delay” communicated around March leading us into an iPhone 5 release time-frame in June / July. Today some new rumors were emerging stating “the light leaking into the iPhone and affecting the performance of the device’s camera” as the delay cause. Now BGR also reports that there is something other than a manufacturing issue for the delay in the model to release and Apple is completely dismissing the iPhone 4 White models. This seems to be true, as Apple is announcing delay again and again. And in June / July Apple will also come up with iPhone 5. Of course, if you have White iPhone 5 in front, why would one buy White iPhone 4? Hope the White iPhone 5 is free from all such issues. Now, we should stop hoping for White iPhone 4 and just pray for perfect White iPhone 5 models. You can follow us on twitter or facebook to be updated on all the latest on Apple and its products.

Apple iPad Or iPhone Hd Can I Afford And Do I Need Both

Apple iPad Or iPhone Hd Can I Afford And Do I Need Both Cover There is perhaps one question that is lingering on the minds of a lot of Apple fans and consumers around the globe these days; can i afford and do i need both the Apple iPad and the coming iPhone HD/iPhone 4? The Apple iPad has been out for about two months now in the US, but for many other international consumers their first chance to get their hands on the new “digital revolution” came this Friday that passed, with early UK reports that sales have been strong with retailers, including Apple iPad atPC World and Currys that got a reseller deal with Apple. The question on my mind though, is how many of us are actually sitting on the fence for now awaiting the likely announcement of the 4th generation iPhone 4/iPhone HD on June 7th as Steve Jobs takes centerstage at the WWDC 2010? I would assume that it is not an ideal situation for Apple that the international launch of the Apple iPad comes so close to the much awaited upgrade of the iPhone, which if we are to believe in the rumours, is likely to become available to consumers worldwide towards end of June. Whether you are a current iPhone 3GS owner like me that still has 6-8 months left of the contract and will likely have to pay an early upgrade charge for the new iPhone HD, or have been sitting on the fence waiting for the new iPhone before making the investment, finding the money to get both the Apple iPad and the new iPhone HD in the same month is likely a stretch for most of us. Assuming that the new 4th generation iPhone will cost around the same as the iPhone 3GS with a contract, we are looking at having to shell out $160-460 depending on the model on top of the contract, and the Apple iPad starts at $649. So if i was to buy both now in June/July i would be looking at a one off cost of at least $940 or so to get both products. That would seriously digg into my holiday budget and holiday plans, and do i really need both products? Personally i have been sitting on the fence in terms of the Apple iPad as i currently find that between my iPhone and my laptop i cover my needs in terms of work/entertainment. Would i like to have an iPad? yes. But do i need one? not really. I would rather get my early upgrade to the 4th generation iPhone if it lives up to the rumours and the expectations of the market in terms of upgraded features. I can definitely see the potential of the Apple iPad for the professional market, but for now i’ll continue to get my entertainment in the more traditional forms of the television, my laptop, and my hopefully new iPhone HD at the end of June.

Frightbox Possesses Iphones Just In Time For Halloween

Frightbox Possesses Iphones Just In Time For Halloween Cover SKH Apps today is pleased to announce its frightening new app, ‘FrightBox‘. Boasting to be one of the scariest apps available on iTunes, this app combines dark, gloomy visuals, a slew of eerie sound effects and two chilling features: ‘Possessed’ mode and ‘FrightCall’. This unique iPhone app is sure to scare. Upon opening the app, you are immediately presented with the ‘demons’ sound effects page. After pressing any of the buttons, you quickly find that these are not the ordinary, silly Halloween effects you often hear, but more on the line of sounds you would find in today’s popular horror films. Swiping the screen provides several pages of alarming sounds including zombies, ghosts, screams and more. Along with the sound effects, you can find two special buttons on the front page. One labeled ‘Possessed’ and the other ‘FrightCall’. At first pressing the ‘Possessed’ appears to do nothing, but after a few seconds your iPhone begins randomly vibrating and spewing creepy sound effects. This continues alternating between silence and scary sounds until the button aptly labeled ‘Exorcise” is pressed. Pressing the ‘FrightCall’ button begins a short countdown timer. Once the timer runs out, a call screen opens as if you are receiving an incoming call. The phone continues to ring displaying the caller’s name as ‘devil’. Once answered, unnerving voices come through from the earpiece. The ‘FrightCall’ effect is extremely realistic and sure to surprise unsuspecting victims.

White Iphone 4 Delay Might Be Due To Antenna Fixing

White Iphone 4 Delay Might Be Due To Antenna Fixing Cover Every iPhone fan has been dying to know what has been happening why up to this very time Apple has been holding the release of their much awaited White iPhone 4. It has been announced by Apple that White iPhone 4?s release would be delayed until late this year. The reason that they are delaying the release basically because their are fixing some sort of manufacturing problem. They are saying they didn’t expect that it would be this challenging. Whatever it is, it seems that not all Apple enthusiasts are buying the explanation. There has been speculations that Apple is making sure that the White iPhone 4 won’t experience the antenna problems that the black one had. Apple didn’t give any comment about all these and still sticking to their explanation. In fact, Apple released a downloadable app Friday that allows iPhone 4 customers to get a free bumper that’s designed to protect the phone from the thing that hinders antenna performance. The promised cases to solve the antenna problems has been released wholeheartedly as well as refunds to those who purchased before the problem burst out. Apple surely be up to something great with all these delays. They can’t afford to have another problem this time. They need to have the White iPhone 4 perfect.

Iphone Mania Persists Despite Apple Cold Shoulder

Iphone Mania Persists Despite Apple Cold Shoulder Cover As Liz Gannes reports, iPhone mania persists in NYC, with folks lining up at 3AM clutching fistfuls of twenties to buy iPhones five at a time — for export to Europe. This despite the fact that Apple has been throwing cold water on the whole iPhone unlocking marketplace by warning people that a future firmware update could render liberated iPhones to shiny plastic/alloy bricks. But why? When you’re looking for answers, as they say, follow the money. The NYTimes (now mercifully free for you to read) reports on their blog that Apple, with their recent price cut, is effectively taking a loss on each iPhone and making it up on the fees paid to them via the Wireless Carriers. Well, duh. This should be no surprise to folks who know the wireless industry well. The only nuance here is that Apple has altered the way the money flows over traditional mobile phone handset makers, who are content to eke out slim margins selling phones directly to carriers, who then take a hit on the sale of the phone which is subsidized by your ongoing usage fees. As I’ve been trying to point out, the business model they’ve copied is that of Research in Motion. There is some smarts there, but not much. Apple has clearly miscalculated the confrontation that it is about to face with its users. Apple has a vested interest in “locking in” your iPhone to a contract with their partner carriers: this is the Cathedral. They have also borne witness to the powerful effects of releasing their products out into the wild and benefiting from the vibrant hacking community which has grown up around some of their products, such as the Apple TV Hackers, and of course the flourishing OS X third-party development community (which could be likened to Eric S. Raymond’s notion of a Bazaar). With all of those lessons in mind, Apple’s decision-making around the iPhone appears to be somewhat quixotic. But it is, for now, a depressing practical reality of the wireless world that even Apple cannot break the cabal and catalyze the wireless industry to flourish amid an internet-style openness. Apple is attempting to preserve the “lock” on its customers because carriers have a lock on the market. And we cannot expect Apple to lose money for the benefit of the greater community in the interests of strong-arming the carriers. Or can we? If they don’t, then Google might. The GoogPhone has become the new source of promise for we proletariat who formerly clicked our heels together and begged for Apple to bust the wireless industry cabal. Google has the altruism, the mandate, and the heft to push the carriers around much moreso than RIM or Apple. It is also going after spectrum, as we all know. Even if it gets it, this doesn’t mean it will use it, because it’ll become a substantial bargaining chip when it approaches carriers to provide distribution and access for its devices. So Apple might be getting a short-term spike out of its iPhone product line only to be subverted by Google, which will represent an interesting conflict-of-interest for Google CEO and Apple Board Member Eric Schmidt. If that’s the case, then Apple has forfeited a long-term future in the mobile world in an effort to work within, rather than challenge, the fundamental realities of the wireless industry. In the meantime, el-Steve-o is talking pretty tough to the iPhone unlocking crowd (which, let’s face it, is now probably approaching the majority of iPhone users). Of course, Jobs could be borrowing a page from Yasser Arafat: talking tough when his constituency (the carriers) are listening but sliding back-handed messages of peace (and unfettered use of iPhones) under the table. If there’s a volume horizon when the cost of producing iPhones becomes less than they’re forced to sell them for sometime in Apple’s future, then this is quite possible. The fundamental problem here is that being an open platform in an interconnected world is about more than just having an open device, like a PC. In fact, PCs have gotten a free ride of sorts because the Internet via broadband has always been more-or-less unencumbered. Wireless is just the opposite, and even devices like the OpenMoko will still be tethered within the Wireless Egosystem, until carriers stop caring about how much data you use and where you use it. The problem is: will they ever?

Meet The New Beatbox Speaker Dock And Other Products

Meet The New Beatbox Speaker Dock And Other Products Cover At an event last week in New York that i was supposed to attend Monster Beats and Dr Dre released their new Beats by Dre 2010 product line up that will complement an already strong portfolio of headphones. Beats by Dre has quickly become one of the most sought after headphones in the market today, much thanks to the quality of the products, and the celebrity line up that they have promoting the products. It is not only renowned producer and musician Dr Dre that is behind these products, as there are also models that feature the names of Diddy, Lady Gaga, and most recently Justin Bieber. Alongside these artists there is a myriad of celebrities that promotes the Beats by Dre line up, including basketball superstars LeBron James and Kobe Bryant. Lets get back to the new Beats by Dre products, which includes 4 new headphones and a an iPod Speaker dock with the fitting name Beatbox. Beats by Dre Beatbox The Beatbox is the first venture into the docking station market for Beats by Dre, and just like with their headphones they are going for the high-end market with a high quality speaker dock that themselves hope will be a game-changer. Beatbox high-end portable audio system features two 5 1/4 inch bass drivers and 2-inch high frequency drivers that combined will deliver a sound worthy of the Beats by Dre stamp. It all sits within a rugged ABS housing and is currently available in black only. At the top you find the docking station itself, as well as a carrying handle which comes in useful for carrying it with you. Overall the style looks very professional. According to Monster and Dr Dre the Beatbox will offer a club-like sound experience in a small package. Suggested US retail price is $450, and in the UK the Beatbox is available for pre-order from Amazon at $470, putting the Beatbox into competition with the likes of B&W Zeppelin and the Bose Sounddock. We have been advised that the system is fully iPod and iPhone compatible speaker dock, but will be back with full review and information once we get a chance to test the new Beatbox. Powerbeats Lebron James Signature headphone Basketball superstar Lebron James have long been a Beats by Dre fan, and now he has got his own signature line in the new Powerbeats performance sports headphones. The new Powerbeats feature a dual-driver design, built in sub for heavy bass sound, and an adjustable over-the-ear loop to keep the headphones secure during even hard basketball workouts. Powerbeats are also designed with non-noise occluding eartips to allow you to pick up on peripheral noises, like for example a car when out running, or your teammates when playing a game. The Powerbeats Lebron James signature line headphones are expected to retail at $180. Beats Pro headphones For those of you that already have listened to the original Beats by Dre studio headphones, but perhaps need something even higher-end, the new Pro Beats will be coming soon, aimed at DJ’s and audio professionals. The Dre Beats Pro headphones are for professionals looking for that high quality audio experience and sound isolation. An all-aluminum lightweight body, flip-up cups, and dual input-output cable makes the Beats Pro headphones. Expected retail price for the high-end Beats Pro headphones are $450. JustBeats headphones Teen superstar Justin Bieber have also received his signature Beats by Dre in the new JustBeats headphones, which will be available in both in-ear and over-ear models. The JustBeats headphones are aimed to be teens first experience of real high quality sound experience in headphones, with Beats by Dre hoping that the relative high price point will still be affordable and interesting enough for the fans of Justin Bieber. JustBeats will be available in purple only (apparently Justin Bieber’s favourite color) and for now only available at BestBuy. iBeats headphones Although most of the Beats by Dre headphones are available with controltalk headphone cable, the new iBeats are Monster and Beats by Dre iPhone optimized in-ear headphones. The new iBeats feature the same high quality metal construction and tangle free cable as you are used to from other Beats by Dre products (including the Beats by Dre Tour headphones), and ControlTalk feature allows you to handle music playback and hands-free calls. Suggested retail price for the iBeats are $120. In the US it is expected that the new Beats by Dre line up will be available in November, just in time for that important Christmas season. Hopefully they will hit the UK market around the same time. We will be back with more information about where to buy the new Beats by Dre when available. In the meantime you can also check out our reviews of other Beats by Dre headphones as well as our overview of headphones for iPhone and iPod.

Iphone Dslr Prototype Mounts Canon Ef Lenses

Iphone Dslr Prototype Mounts Canon Ef Lenses Cover The chassis is a 1.1lb solid piece of anodized billet aluminum with dual handle-grips and a tripod mount; up front is a Canon EF lens adapter, which Jeremy hopes to extend to support SLR lenses from other manufacturers. It’ll actually work with the iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS and iPhone 3G, though of course the latter two don’t pack as many megapixels or the iMovie app for on-the-fly video editing. There are still questions – when they’re not berating him for his choice of name, commenters are asking about the difference in image circle between what size sensor an SLR lens is designed to work with and the sensor in the iPhone 4 – and Jeremy is yet to show any sample shots from the rig, but as we saw with similar systems for earlier iPhones, people just seem to love to make complicated mounts for relatively mainstream cameraphones.

iPhone Car Mount And Hands Free Kit

iPhone Car Mount And Hands Free Kit Cover I just installed my iPhone in my Mazda 3. I used a leather wrapped mount from Kuda. On the kuda is just an adjustable quick mount that holds the iPhone securely. The power comes from a Belkin charger. This charger also has a line out connection coming out at the 12v plug. My car has a built in "line in" mini jack . I have a cable from the belkin plug into my line in. All the wires are hidden except the last 8" which attaches to my phone. The hands free kit is a Motorola that I've had since my previous car. It works very well with the iPhone. I don't use the voice commands very much since the iPhone is only a touch away, but it works well when needed. I think it looks nice, it certainly works very well (excuse the dirty car on photo!) A few more random thoughts: The Belkin has a built in pre amp which allows you to adjust the gain into your factory setup. When the iPhone is in iPod mode, the screen stays active.... it won't go into black screen sleep mode. The Kuda mounts are VERY WELL MADE. Installation took about 10 Minutes. They are leather wrapped and available for many different vehicle apps. If you have a nice vehicle and don't want to make it look cheap or messy with one of those suction cup or sticky tape mounts, look into this. The mount can be removed without any evidence that it was ever there.

Which Car Kit Should You Fit

Which Car Kit Should You Fit Cover What are the benefits of a professional quality hands free car kit? By professional quality, we mean a kit that needs to be installed into the car electrics, so that it uses your audio speakers and overrides the car stereo when you receive a call. Although these kits are more expensive that visor mounted car kits, or ear piece kits, and you need to add the cost of the fitting and installation, when you compare this to the cost of your car, and that you have an integrated solution that is not reliant on battery power, the costs are relatively small. So which kit should you choose? The first consideration is compatibility with your car (most kits will fit most cars) and also with your mobile, or mobiles if you have more than one phone in the family. Again most Bluetooth enabled kits are compatible with most Bluetooth enabled phones. Feature sets are often very similar and will often mirror the capabilities of your mobile. The quality of the call and the noise reduction can vary between car kits and manufacturers, but apart from this you should select the style of the control module and how it will fit in your car. Two recent additions to the market are the Motorola IHF1000 and the Parrot MKi9000, both offering a range of features for under $160 plus installation.

How To Buy The Right Headphones

How To Buy The Right Headphones Cover A top-notch MP3 player is only half of the audio equation. No matter what your budget, we've got advice on picking the best headphones to maximize your listening experience—along with reviews of 35 top pairs. These days, some people happily spend as much as half a grand on a new MP3 player with an estimated lifespan of around three years, yet the question I'm asked most often is still, "What's the cheapest pair of headphones I can buy that don't completely suck?" Headphones, earbuds, and earphones (I'll describe the difference between them in a bit) are generally viewed as the least essential link in the musical chain—the part you can skimp on. In reality, your headphones are the most important link in that chain: A quality pair can have an even larger impact than the player itself on how your tunes will sound. Also, if well cared for, they will long outlive your planned-to-be-obsolete digital audio player. And you don't have to break the bank, either. For $400 or less, you can get both a good player and a high-quality pair of 'phones and really begin to enjoy all the excellent audio you've been missing. Thanks to the iPod's wild popularity, those trademark white earbuds have become ubiquitous. Even so, earbuds are not an ideal listening option, since they don't enter the ear canal and as a result don't create a true seal. In fact, they're more likely to be placed at an odd angle, often destroying the balance of the audio mix—and you can forget about getting solid bass response. Earphones, on the other hand, sit further in your ear canal, creating a better seal—and they're often more comfortable to wear, since they tend to stay in place better than earbuds. Headphones, by contrast, are over-the-head (or behind-the-head) speakers that sit on the ear. Circumaural models create a seal with cups around the entire ear, whereas open, or supra-aural, headphones sit directly on the ear without forming a seal. Now let's take a look at some better alternatives to those lousy stock-issue earbuds. These selections consist mostly of earphones, which seem to have won the popularity war over other styles, but you'll also find excellent and affordable headphones, noise-canceling, and wireless options as well. Earphones As explained above, earbuds aren't the best way to get the most from your music. For $40, you could have a decent pair of earphones, instead. If you're looking for booming bass on a budget, there are a few options between $40-50. They don't deliver the most accurate sonic experience, but they certainly feature deep, resonant low end-perfect for hip-hop and electronic music-which is a new development in affordable earphones. Generally speaking, you won't find true audio quality in earphones until you pass the $50 mark. In the $50 to $150 price range, you can expect earphones that fit well, deliver powerful bass and crisp treble, and come with a variety of ear tips in different sizes to ensure a good seal. Ultimate Ears, Sennheiser, Shure, and Monster are the main players in this category. If you're more about accuracy than booming bass, you'll want "flat-response" pairs that offer a more pure, less sculpted audio signal. Etymotic's $300 ER-4S is our flat-response earphone benchmark, and you'll find it in many of our HEAD Acoustics graphs as a comparison pair. In this same price range, you should expect well-matched left and right earphones, as well as better definition on the lowest and highest frequencies. Etymotic makes the flattest pair in this range, but there are plenty of options that offer more low-end without boosting too much. Earphones can be far more expensive than a couple hundred dollars, however—the UE 11 Pro will cost you $1,150. They're a custom-molded pair with subwoofers added in each ear for more accurate deep bass response. These are my favorite earphones, period. (At that price, they'd better be!) We also include them in several of our test graphs so you can see how the pair we're reviewing compares to an ideal, but less flat, frequency-response curve. Headphones When it comes to consumer headphones, two companies in particular, Grado and Sennheiser, truly stand out from the crowd. Grado makes supra-aural (and some hybrid) headphones that range from $70-$1,000. The Grado GS1000 pair, with its mix of supra-aural and circumaural design, delivers audio that sounds about as good as it possibly can. Even so, at $995 the GS1000 isn't for everyone: They're not very portable, and you can't ignore the wooden earpieces. (I actually think they look pretty cool, and luckily, Grado has more affordable options, like the sub-$100 SR60.) Sennheiser also makes several different types of headphones in a wide price range—a few options are listed below. Generally, headphones should be able to reproduce richer low end since they have larger drivers than earphones and they don't rely on an in-ear seal to deliver their output. Noise-Canceling Headphones and Earphones You might try to dismiss the din of the outside world by cranking up the volume, but the best solution for saving your sanity and your ears is to invest in a pair of noise-canceling headphones, so you can enjoy your audio at much lower volumes. Bose's QuietComfort 15 headphones, our Editor's Choice, offer fantastic noise cancellation, and they sound pretty decent—but they will set you back about $300. Creative's Aurvana X-Fi Noise Canceling Headphones are our former Editors' Choice—they sound better than the QuietComfort series and deliver almost-as-good noise reduction for $50 less. There are several competitors in this field, so it's worth perusing. It's also important to note: Noise-canceling headphones are generally not for audiophiles—they put function (blocking outside noise) first, and sound quality second. They tend to sound less compelling than similarly priced headphones without the noise-cancellation circuitry. Plus, several in-ear earphone pairs offer substantial passive noise reduction by basically functioning as earplugs. Wireless Headphones There's no disputing that wireless headphones can be convenient in any situation where you don't want to deal with dangling cables—like the gym, for example. Unfortunately, Bluetooth wireless stereo audio doesn't measure up when compared with the tried-and-true wired kind. This is because the data signal containing Bluetooth audio is extremely compressed and therefore can't carry enough information to deliver rich sound. But if you absolutely abhor wires, the reasonably priced $130 Motorola MotoROKR S9-HD or Altec Lansing's $100 BackBeat aren't bad, and they both double as headsets to let you answer cell-phone calls. For higher-quality wireless sound, the Kleer company, however, has developed a closely guarded RF-based audio technology (of the same name) that sounds fantastic. The pricey $600 Sennheiser MX W1 was the first quality pair of earphones to use Kleer, and Sleek Audio has now incorporated it as well. And as Sennheiser teased at CES 2010, more affordable pairs are on the way.
