JBL launches two new On Stage iPod/iPhone speaker docking stations, the On Stage IV and On Stage Micro III. These speaker docks play your iPod or iPhone and will charge the docked device. Standard 30-pin dock connector has been around since 2003 on every iPod/iPhone (with the exception of Shuffle models). While I agree that Apple is notorious for changing form factors on a whim (ex. the headphone jack seems to switch sides with every generation of Nano), the physical connection itself has been pretty consistent. Apple have used the 30-pin connector since 2003, but many of the accessories that use that 30-pin connection will not function with the current iPods/iPhones. The Bluetooth receiver is small – about the same size as an AA battery – and for such a small device they’ve crammed a lot into it. As well as being able to play your music in stereo, the MW600 allows you to make and receive calls handsfree and has a built in FM radio – something that some iPhone users have been requesting be added to the phone for years. It’s multipoint too, so if you wanted, you could use this with your PC/Mac or a second phone at the same time. Stick it in your pocket or bag with keys & coins and it’ll scratch. You can’t use scratch removal tools to repair scratches on touchscreen phones, so your best bet is to look after your screen by fitting a screen protector. There are so many screen protectors out there though it can be a bit overwhelming, after all, they are all supposed to do the same job, but they don’t. Cheaper screen protectors can start to peel or lift at the edges, allowing dust and dirt underneath them. Others are that shiny, they make it almost impossible to see the screen of your phone. The Case Mate protector does neither of these things. It stays attached to your iPhone 4 and has a matte finish that actually improves visibility of the screen in bright light. Best iPhone 4 Car Kit When it comes to using your iPhone 4 in the car there are a number of options available to you. Generally speaking these different kits will fall into one of two categories, fully fitted car kits or portable car kits. Best Portable Car Kit: Jabra SP700 / Jabra Cruiser I can never decide between these two kits. Both perform really well and have the same basic features. The idea behind them is simple. They clip onto the sun visor in your car and connect to your iPhone using Bluetooth. They can both be used as a loud speaker for handsfree calling and music play back, but what makes these two stand out is that they both have a built in FM Transmitter so that you can play your calls and music through your car stereo for improved audio quality. What sets the two apart though is the quality of the microphones and music control. The Jabra Cruiser has 2 microphones for noise cancellation and play, pause, rewind and fast forward buttons, where as the SP700 doesn’t. Dual Microphones is an obvious benefit, but as the iPhone doesn’t fully support remote music control over bluetooth, only the play/pause button will work (at the moment – this could change with the next update from Apple) If you’re not too fussed on being able to play/pause your music without touching your phone go for the SP700. If you want better audio and music control, go for the Cruiser. Best Fully Fitted Car Kit: Parrot MKi9000 If you can afford it, and are planning on keeping your car for a while, then getting a fully fitted kit is well worth it. As well as being able to route all audio from your phone through your car stereo, you’ll also be able to charge your phone and the whole kit will be out of sight and hidden behind your dashboard. I’ve chosen the Parrot MKi9000 as the best fitted car kit for the iPhone 4 as it does everything you’d need a kit to do. If you want a screen on your car kit, you can opt for the MKi9100 or MKi9200, but as the iPhone has a 3.5mm colour display of it’s own, I can’t really see the point of having another one just for the car kit. The MKi9000 lets you play music from your iPhone through the MKi9000 either by connecting the Apple Dock Connector cable or you can stream your music to it using Bluetooth. The Mki9000 will synchronise with your phone book, and supports voice dialling – although it won’t activate voice control on iPhone 3GS and iPhone 4. The Mki9000 comes with a small remote that you can attach to your dash or steering wheel to fully control your music when your iPhone is connected using the Dock Cable (Play/Pause & volume only when using bluetooth). When you use Sat Nav on your phone, voice instructions come through your car stereo clearly – in fact, audio from any app on your phone will be routed through the car kit and will be heard through your car stereo speakers.

Apple has announced today in a press release that they are continue to face challenges in manufacturing of the White iPhone 4 model, and due to this the iPhone 4 White model will not be available until later this year. The availability of the more popular iPhone 4 black models is not affected. The Cupertino, Calif., company states that availability of black iPhone 4 models will not be affected due to this delay and customers can purchase and order black iPhone 4 as like before, the sale of which started in June. However, last week it was reported that the white models might be delayed upon color issues. A worker from Lens quality control department has allegedly admitted that the company’s screen-printing workshop may currently be dealing with some issues with the white iPhone 4 covers. Is White Iphone 4 Canceled

Today we reported that Apple has announced that the White iPhone 4 is delayed until spring next year. But now rumors are there that Apple has cancelled the release of White iPhone 4 and yet has revealed the information. The report has come from internal sources from BGR that Apple has no plans to release the White iPhone 4. They exactly state that: According to a previous source of ours, we have been told that Apple in fact has no plans to release the white model iPhone 4. Our source hypothesizes another “delay” communicated around March leading us into an iPhone 5 release time-frame in June / July. Today some new rumors were emerging stating “the light leaking into the iPhone and affecting the performance of the device’s camera” as the delay cause. Now BGR also reports that there is something other than a manufacturing issue for the delay in the model to release and Apple is completely dismissing the iPhone 4 White models. This seems to be true, as Apple is announcing delay again and again. And in June / July Apple will also come up with iPhone 5. Of course, if you have White iPhone 5 in front, why would one buy White iPhone 4? Hope the White iPhone 5 is free from all such issues. In the survey various other information is asked like if the user is using any other mobile set and which brand the user considers can iPhone 4 replace. After the press conference held by Apple for the antenna issue in iPhone 4, it was not accepted completely neither denied by Apple that iPhone 4 has antenna issues. Apple has also announced to give away free cases or refund the complete amount if customer wants to return iPhone 4. Apple has also pointed that all smartphones have signal drop issues in consequence of which, companies like Samsung , RIM, HTC have issued some statement criticizing Apple’s claim. Apple Antenna Testing Lab

Apple has highlighted the iPhone 4 antenna design and testing during the press conference held yesterday. Steve Jobs commented ‘Nobody is perfect’ and accepted that there are more call drops in iPhone 4 than iPhone 3GS. He revealed some information about the testing lab formally called ‘Black Lab’ which is used for testing by Apple team. Apple has invested around $100 million in development of the lab. It consists of 17 antenna characterization chambers (anechoic chambers) designed to accurately measure antenna and wireless performance and there are 18 PhD scientists and engineers working for the lab. Inside the black lab, testing is taken up to 25 hours to run across all frequencies. There are various types of testing conducted in the lab which includes positioning the device on Styrofoam blocks, in human hands, and in the vicinity of realistic “phantom” mannequin body parts. Apple posts about the testing on their site: ”Apple engineers tested iPhone 4 in a variety of scenarios, environments, and conditions in order to gauge performance. They spent thousands of hours in cities in the U.S. and throughout the world testing iPhone 4 call quality, dropped-call performance, call origination and termination, and in-service time. They tested iPhone 4 while stationary, at high and low speeds, and in urban, dense urban, and highway environments. In low-coverage areas and good-coverage areas, during peak and off-peak hours — iPhone 4 was field-tested in nearly every possible coverage scenario across different vendor and carrier equipment all over the world.” Despite of all these showcasing and testing, Apple didn’t deny that there are some call drops in iPhone 4 which are higher in quantity than iPhone 3GS. Apple has announced today in a press release that they are continue to face challenges in manufacturing of the White iPhone 4 model, and due to this the iPhone 4 White model will not be available until later this year.
