OK, I’ve seen some pretty odd ways of using mobile phone’s over the years, but this one really made me chuckle. Quite a few bloggers are reviewing the new software and posting video’s of it being used – which is great, after all $90 is a lot to spend on a software download if it’s no good, but I really think some people need to plan ahead when it comes to creating a video review. This morning I stumbled on this iPhone TomTom video review on YouTube which shows off how easy the software is to use. They then take it for a spin in the car and demonstrate brilliantly how not to mount your iPhone in the car. Sellotaping your iPhone to the dash might be a quick fix, but just think of the mess that’s going to be left on his phone and dashboard when he’s done. Silly really, when for less than $22 he could have got himself an iPhone Sat Nav Pack that includes a rotating windscreen holder and car charger. On the subject of iPhone holders, I’ve noticed that people seem to think that you have to use sat nav on the iPhone in landscape mode. Apple is conducting a satisfaction survey for iPhone 4. In the survey, a questionnaire is being sent to some of the iPhone 4 users. The questionnaire contains a list of questions about iPhone 4. Each question has multiple options to choose from. In the survey various other information is asked like if the user is using any other mobile set and which brand the user considers can iPhone 4 replace. After the press conference held by Apple for the antenna issue in iPhone 4, it was not accepted completely neither denied by Apple that iPhone 4 has antenna issues. Apple has also announced to give away free cases or refund the complete amount if customer wants to return iPhone 4. Apple has also pointed that all smartphones have signal drop issues in consequence of which, companies like Samsung , RIM, HTC have issued some statement criticizing Apple’s claim. Apple has also announced in the press conference the launching of iPhone 4 in 17 other countries and White iPhone 4 shipping. Both of these will start from July 30. What can be the reasons for the survey? Is it that Apple is trying to make customers happy by building a good relationship? Apple Yet To Release White Iphone 4

Bad news for those Apple fans who have been eagerly awaiting the white version of the latest iPhone. The iPhone has been selling really well since its release. It has also helped make Apple reach the number two spot when it came to the highest number of phones shipped this year alone. Those who would like to have the Apple iPhone 4 in white will apparently have to wait until spring next year, which is a lot more waiting time than they would have hoped for. The white iPhone 4 was supposed to be unveiled back then in June, but Apple postponed it until the end of July. Come the end of July, it was rumored that Apple wouldn’t show the device until later this year so Apple fans had to wait some more. Now as reported above, Apple will reportedly unveil the white iPhone 4 early next year. Next year is only two months away, but these two months will seem even longer for those who are eagerly awaiting their white iPhone 4. According to several sources, Apple can’t seem to handle the high demand for the phone, which is why the brand is rather concentrating on the usual Apple iPhone 4 phones rather than manufacturing new color versions. Others are saying that this is just Apple’s way of creating a certain hype and curiosity surrounding its product, which also proves to be the fact when it comes to Apple. If you are anything like me you are always on the look-out for that next accessory for your iPhone 3GS. White Iphone 4 Production Delays Until Year End

Apple has announced today in a press release that they are continue to face challenges in manufacturing of the White iPhone 4 model, and due to this the iPhone 4 White model will not be available until later this year. However, Apple has already earlier announced in a press conference that White iPhone 4 shipping will start in the end of July. Apple has released a statement in press release about the delay of White iPhone 4 models: CUPERTINO, Calif., July 23 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ — White models of Apple’ new iPhone4 have continued to be more challenging to manufacture than we originally expected, and as a result they will not be available until later this year. The availability of the more popular iPhone 4 black models is not affected. The Cupertino, Calif., company states that availability of black iPhone 4 models will not be affected due to this delay and customers can purchase and order black iPhone 4 as like before, the sale of which started in June. However, last week it was reported that the white models might be delayed upon color issues. A worker from Lens quality control department has allegedly admitted that the company’s screen-printing workshop may currently be dealing with some issues with the white iPhone 4 covers. A History Of Dension iPod Car Kits

iPod Car Kits started out back in 1999 with Dension, they were the original manufacturer of the very first iPod Car Kit. Back then, the kids were very basic. The very first kit started out with just an audio feed (similar to an Aux input from the iPod to the stereo) but before long Dension wanted to improve the kit and next came along a feature which is still regarded as one of the most important; Charging the iPod while connected. Apple have made hard work of keeping this feature as of late when they changed the charging from 12v to 5v but Dension have bounced back with an update in hardware inside their units. In 2003 Dension realized that there was a big market for iPod kits and wanted to improve on the kit even more. Along came two more important changes. The first was the introduction of a cradle, cleverly designed in a "one size fits all" base where you simply add an insert/sleeve which makes it fit your iPod. The second introduction was the ability to be able to control the iPod from the car stereo. In its first stages, this was set up based around playlist control. You would map your playlists on the 1-5 buttons on your car stereo and when you wanted to change playlists you could then simply press button 3 for example. Within 6 months, this advanced and you could also skip tracks forwards and backwards as well as rewinding and fast-forwarding. In 2006 Dension pushed the "control" feature further and introduced another two features. The first this time being a mode which allows you to change the control back to the iPod so it doesn't lock out the iPod when connected. This was great for people who couldn't get along with the playlist mode. The second improvement was one of the most important thus far, Artist, Album, Podcast, Track control; Now instead of only being able to control the iPod using playlists, you could now change the mode and search by artists, or albums, or anyway you wanted! Dension moved forwards quickly with more products coming rapidly. 2007 saw the debut of the very first iPod kit to have an optional "add-on" to allow bluetooth connections through the iPod kit and your car stereo and steering controls. This meant that using your phone in your car was now seemless. Next came the AV Extender, a clever device which allowed you to play the iPods videos onto your cars screen (or an external screen if needed). This sold out 3 times in its first 2 months.
